Santana is in, in the 12th inning. Figgins doubled and gave us a lead, and what I thought, the game winner. But surprise SURPRISE, Fuentes blows the save.
This year, we should look for a new closer...
Runner on 1st for the Yanks, 2 outs, runners on 3rd and 1st, Tex up. |

You gotta be kidding.... man!
Vlad had 3 opportunities. Not even a walk???! Damn. He's giving us no reasons for us to keep him this offseason. |

Angels didnt deserve to win this game. Up 2-0 are the Yanks
... we got the next 3 at Anaheim, but half the ballpark are always Yankee fans. |

Not that Im being pessimistic about the season, but Im looking for changes next year:
New closer
Another bat
More depth for the bullpen |

Man that was a TOUGH one to swallow. That 0-2 pitch simply wasn't high enough in the strike zone. In that situation it's better to go high and tight so A-Rod can't extend his arms. Also Izturis just wasn't thinking of the situation there in the 13th- no spectacular play was needed there- get the safe out and then all we had to do was to get one more out.
The series not over but it does look a bit bleak. Scioscia might want to consider not letting A-Rod beat the team again. |

Definitely a new closer- even though Fuentes had 48 saves and did a great job, he is probably better as a set up man. And just by him being a setup man that would make the bullpen so much stronger. |

| Maybe Jepsen should be the closer. Itd be nice for us to get a closer but if we cant, Jepsen can slide to that role instead of being the set-up man. |
